Mercedes w124 estate 300 diesel in Longstone, Cornwall for sale

The OM606 Diesel pulls well and the car is in good condition for its age and mileage. I had both front lower wishbones replaced(including the lower ball joints and eccentric bolts) and the steering arms in April last year after which I had the front alignment reset. Also the offside wheel bearing. Front and middle exhaust and catalytic converter were replaced with new items 4 months ago. The air conditioning pump and condenser was also renewed last June(at great expense) and the system functions excellently. Also 2 new strut top mounts. New tensioner and tensioner cradle as seen in pictures (genuine mercedes ) All the electrics work including the tilt and slide sunroof, electric front and rear windows, rear wiper/washer, electric/heated mirrors and the Mercedes-Benz infra red remote central locking. The soft close tailgate mechanism, the height adjustable headlights and the self levelling rear suspension work as they should too. The original keys are all there including the valet key. Other new parts include the brake servo (genuine mercedes), all the plastic fuel pipes to and from the injector pump and also the delivery valve seals, 6 new glow plugs and a new battery (plenty of punch). The car passed the MOT with NO faults/advisories, which is not bad for a 20yr old vehicle. The interior is the grey cloth with the walnut wood trim all in good condition and cleans up nicely. It's fitted with the 7 seat option...however, I've never used the seats in anything other than their folded position, but they appeared ok when they were last up. There's a new Pioneer DAB radio/CD player with new 330W speakers in the rear. The exterior of the car is finished in Azurite blue metallic and polishes up reasonably well. The car rides on polished 16" Alamak 8 hole alloys from a W140. The wheels are fitted with spacers and wheel bolt sleeves and give the car an imposing appearance. The tyres were brand new when the wheels were fitted last May and have plenty of tread; the car having covered less than 6000 miles since then. The car has just been serviced with new filters, hydraulic oils, coolant and Valvoline Premium Blue semi-synthetic engine oil. The car drives well and accelerates nicely up to speed and brakes as expected. There are a few bad points:- The tailgate has a few patches of rust nothing serious an easily addressed. there's a scuff on the starboard side front bumper and a small crack in the rear. These can be rectified quite easily and I was quoted £150 to carry out these repairs. There are stone chips on the bonnet and wings nothing overly drastic, but to be honest, for a 20 year old car it's no big deal. The electric aerial doesn't work with the radio on/off as it used to since the new radio was fitted. This is merely a wiring issue and the aerial operates up and down when given a 12V supply at the connector. It's left in the up position all the time now. The front starboard side wheel sometimes causes a vibration at around 60MPH and will need a re-balance. The stick-on weights the garage used didn't last long. All in all a nicely presented S124 These cars are well made and with regular servicing it will last another 20 years Il. She will accelerate 0-60mph in the same time as the day she was made!
